The inspiration for each creation is derived from an extensive search for suitable naturally occurring mineral pieces.
Pieces are acquired from locations both internationally and domestically with emphasis on the later.
Upon finding a potentially suitable mineral piece, the sample undergoes a laborious process of cutting and polishing.
In selecting the section from which the creation is drawn, Chris exploits his geological background whilst charging his artistic interpretation to define the distinctiveness of each piece.
In each creation, an awareness of nature’s instinctive flow of colour, shape and texture is realised.
Each creation is sealed with high gloss lacquer, presented on superior quality 100% cotton canvas and mounted on 1 ½ inch thick frames.
Continuity of the art, wall and its immediate surrounds is preserved as the artwork is stretched and wrapped around the solid frames.
