cloth is owned by Julie Paterson. She develops and prototypes designs in her beachside workshop, beginning the process by drawing and paintng, capturing the details of her immediate environment. The designs are printed by hand on 20 metre tables in country NSW. This small batch production method is an essential ingredient for the character and soul of the fabric and allows for a controllable low impact approach to manufacturing and materials. We work with natural fabrics, notably hemp and linen, creating fabric collections for upholstery and soft furnishings in residential and high end commercial interiors. In addition to our fabric ranges, we work with local makers to produce a collection of homewares, fashion and accessories. We alse collaborate with designers and architects creating bespoke fabrics and products for commercial projects.
