Turkish Delights Rug Company specialise in contemporary looking kilims for modern interiors. These collectable, affordable flat-woven rugs are sourced from experts in Turkey, then hand selected by Claire Lyell for her South Melbourne showroom.

Only older, natural fibre, natural dyed kilims are chosen. Each kilim is a unique work of hand-woven art crafted last century by nomadic and semi-nomadic people from Anatolia (Asiatic Turkey).

The range comprises both natural kilims (undyed natural wool colours) and dyed (all natural dyes from plants, vegetables, flowers etc.) All in the range are wool or wool/angora, except four which are hemp.

The kilims are abstract in design and have a vibrant, striking and distinctly contemporary look ideally suited to modern interiors.

Importantly, the rugs which have been woven with naturally dyed fibres develop a wonderful patina with age which enhances their beauty.

They can either make a strong design statement or subtly harmonise with other furnishings, and add life, colour and texture to a decorative or minimalist space.

The kilims make stunning floor rugs, wall hangings and throw-overs for residential or commercial developments.

Every kilim in the range is a rare item from an ever-diminishing supply.

Turkish Delights Rug Company kilims bear no resemblance to the traditional looking, highly patterned Persian rugs which have flooded the Australian market in recent years.

Upon purchase, we provide a sealed Certificate of Authenticity guaranteeing the kilim’s provenance, together with a caring for kilims document and suggestions on the best ways to mount your kilim, if you wish to display it as decorative wall art.
