Vanessa Arbuthnott began designing fabrics seven years ago with encouragement from her husband and friends.
Her inspiration comes from nature, particularly the Cotswolds where she lives, her childhood seaside memories, and the Tuscany of family holidays.
Only quality pure organic cotton, linen and wools are used in the manufacture of her fabrics, wall coverings, wallpapers and rugs.
All reflect the subtle and delicate colours of nature, and are beautifully suited to Australian decor, whether by the seaside, in the city or the country, capturing a gentle and natural ambiance.
Colours include buttercup, limestone, clay, damson, duck egg, stone, raspberry, mushroom, cornflower, straw and lettuce, and pictorial designs coordinate with checks, stripes, spots and dots.
In fact, the colours and designs coordinate throughout the range. Also included in Vanessa’s collection are several designs in PVC coated fabric, suitable for tablecloths, aprons, pool and BBQ areas.
Her robust, wide-width, fabric-based wallcoverings are sold by the metre and are a delightful alternative to wallpapers, and come in several designs complementary to the fabric ranges. Vanessa’s entire collection is now available in Australia and New Zealand through Incony Imports.
