Christophe Living was founded by award winning designer Jean-Christophe Burckhardt, trained as a craftsman and designer in Italy and France, he is now based in Sydney, having worked for over 20 years bringing French style and ambience to private homes and public institutions.
DVD Offer:
Jean-Christophe has also produced a documentary called ‘Decorating in the French style', it is available as a DVD and contains over an hour of French interiors and tips on how to create the French style in your home.
Our Furniture:
We specialise in reproduction and antique French provincial furniture in the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles. All our furniture is proudly made here in Australia or imported from Europe and Mediterranean countries. From the classical bergere, Louis salon chairs, French Bedheads, sleigh beds, Louis consoles and more.
Our French style furniture is made in solid European Beech and is either polished to order or painted in a number of differen finishes, such as antique French white.
Chandeliers, Lighting, Rugs and Art
Offering all you need to create the French look and feel: Chandeliers and wall lights in a metal, painted and gilded finish. French chenille rugs, woven to order in France and Belgium, blending classical designs for the modern home. To complete you décor we have French country prints, antique and botanical prints, photos of France on canvas, mirrors and a framing service. French decorative accessories, ceramic, pewter and table linen. French fabrics for curtains and upholstery, including Toiles and linens.

Jean-Christophe offers a full interior design service specialising in the French style. His extensive experience is not just in the design process but in understanding your needs and the feeling you wish to create in your home.
